‘3 Idiots’ breaks another record

After taking the Bollywood box office by storm, Aamir Khan-starrer ’3 Idiots’ brought record television viewer ratings (TVRs) for Sony Entertainment channel when it was telecast last month.

The film, aired July 25, got 10.9 TVRs, catapulting the channel to the third position of Hindi general entertainment channels in India with 270 gross rating points, a statement from the channel said.

"As a company, we are committed to bringing the biggest and the best properties for our viewers. ’3 Idiots’ is a continuation of our commitment to this vision and we are delighted with the performance of the premiere telecast on Sony Entertainment Television," said Manjit Singh, CEO Multi Screen Media, of which Sony Entertainment Television is a part.

N.P. Singh, Multi Screen Media COO, said: "I am delighted with the rating of 10.9 TVRs which broke all previous records and made it the most watched television property of the last two years.

Komaram Puli going for censor

Power star Pawan Kalyan’s much awaited upcoming film "Komaram Puli" going for censor certification around 11th of this month.

This movie will be completing its postproduction work soon and first copy is expected to be ready by next week.

Producer Singanamala Ramesh is planning to release this movie on 18th or 19th depends on how quick can they print posters with censor certification and how quick can they make 800 prints to send to all theatres in and around state including abroad.

Story : It is the story of Seenu as you get by the movie title. Seenu from his childhood dreams of becoming a don and he is ultimate fan of Amitabh Bachan.He runs away from his home in childhood in pursuing his dream of becoming don to Hyderabad. After some years he he joins Machiraju (Sayaji) gang.Machiraju opponent is Narsing (Srihari) who is also the other don in Hyderabad. Machiraju sends Seenu to Germany to trap Narsing Sister. So Seenu in Germany Traps Shriya thinking her as Narsing Sister who turns out to be Machiraju sister.
And after that Seenu after Knowing his folly want to correct his mistake and this time he sets his target on Narsing sister Anjana Sukhani. Don Duggal (Mahesh Manjerekar) enters in the second half. There are some twists in the second half which makes it somewhat interesting.
Overall the story is ok and movie doing average business.Raviteja has worked upto his mark in the movie as he is well versed in doing mass roles.
