About Central Institute of Technology (CIT)

Central Institute of Technology (CIT), Kokrajhar  is situated in Kokrajhar District of Bodoland Territorial Council (BTC) in Assam. The Institute was established on the 19th of December 2006. The genesis of this Institute was the memorandum of Settlement on Bodoland Territorial Council (BTC) signed between the Assam Government, the Union Government and the Bodo Liberation Tigers, on February 10, 2003, in New Delhi.

CIT, Kokrajhar invites applications from Indian nationals, possessing academic background, commitment to quality teaching for the faculty positions at the level of Associate Professor (on deputation); Asstt. Professor (on Deputation/Contract) and System Administrator (on Deputation/Contract) in various Disciplines of the Institute.
Assistant Professor (On Deputation / Contract)
  • No. of Vacancies: 25 Posts
  • Pay-Scale: Rs. 15,600 – 39,100 + AGP 6000/-
  • Qualification – BE/B.Tech and ME/M.Tech in relevant subject with first class or equivalent either in BE/B.Tech or ME/M.Tech
Associate Professor (On Deputation)
  • No. of Vacancies: 14 Posts
  • Pay Scale: Rs. 37,400 – 67,000 + AGP 9,000/-
  • Qualification – Same as Assistant Professor as applicable and Phd or equivalent in appropriate discipline.
System Administrator (On Deputation / Contract)
  • No. of Vacancies: 01 Post
  • Pay Scale: Rs. 15,600 – 39,100 + AGP 6000/-
  • Qualification – B.Tech/M.Tech in computer science or any other engineering discipline / MCA
