Shahrukh teams with Vishal Bharadwaj for 2 States Movie

2 states, a bestseller by Chetan Bhagat is turned in to a movie, which will now be Directed by Vishal Bharadwaj and will have Shahrukh Khan in the lead.
Earlier we reported that Vishal Bhardwaj and Shahrukh are on talks for doing a movie together and that they might be working on The Departed, Hollywood movie’s remake. But now it turns out to be 2 states.
Also it was reported that Siddharth Anand is to direct the movie of 2 states an adapted version of the book written by Chetan Bhagat the famous writer behind the books One night at the call center and Five Point someone, both of which had been made in to movies.
 
The movie of 2 states was to be produced by Sajid Nadiadwala. They also confirmed earlier that Saif Ali Khan and Priyanka Chopra are to play the lead. But now everything has completely changed.
Actor Shah Rukh Khan recently confirmed that he is teaming up with filmmaker Vishal Bharadwaj for his screen adaptation of Chetan Bhagat’s bestseller Two States.
Shahrukh was reported to have said, “Yes, I’m doing Vishal Bharadwaj’s movie which is an adaptation of Two States,” The progress is confirmed, but reports have been stating that the deal has already been signed, but that is yet to take place. Shahrukh added, “We (Vishal and I) have been in constant touch for the same since the past two years.”
The story of two states is about two lovers from 2 different sates (Delhi and Tamilnadu). The story is about how a Punjabi guy and a Tamil Brahmin girl fall sin love and bring together their family in acceptance of their marriage. Guess Vishal is still in love with the DDLJ, Kuch Kuch Hota Hai, Dil Toh pagal Hai lover boy SRK and though who else can play the apt Punjabi munda falling in love with a Tamilian girl!
