Candidates applying for the following positions should have all the basic qualification as mentioned in the main advertisement. This time they are going to recruit faculty and non-faculty.

National Institute Of Technology Silchar (NIT Silchar) , an Institute of National Importance under the NIT Act was established in 1967 as a Regional Engineering College (REC), Silchar. NIT Silchar is situated on the banks of river Barak. In year 2002, it was upgraded to the status of an NIT from a Regional Engineering College(REC). NIT Silchar is situated on a sprawling campus spread over 600 acres {2.43 km2} of land on the outskirts of Silchar amid breathtaking scenery. It is surrounded by beautiful lakes and hillocks.

How to Apply
1.       Application form and guidelines may be downloaded from NIT Silchar Websites at: www.nits.ac.in
2.       The applicants are requested to apply in prescribed Forms enclosed herewith furnishing Biodata as (1) Name, (2) Father’s Name, (3) Full Address (Present & Permanent), (4) Education Qualification, (5) Experience, (6) SC/ST?OBC Certificate, (7) No-objection certificate from their present employer. (8) Self attested passport size-photograph (9) Contact Number and other requirements mentioned in the Form.
a.       All the original certificates, mark sheets etc shall be shown in the interview and the photocopies of those shall be submitted with the application duly attested by the candidate himself / herself.
b.      The interview may be cancelled by the authority without assigning any reason.
3.       Application shall reach to The Registrar, National Institute of Technology Silchar, Assam  PIN-788 010. The envelope should be superscribed with “Application for the post of ………….. at NIT Nagaland” at the top.  Last date of submission of application is 21/01/ 2011.However, this may be extended if the authority desires.
4.       The Form should be enclosed with required Demand Draft as mentioned in the Application Form.
